Photographic Archive Information

Welcome to the photographic archive of the Didsbury Civic Society. This archive is available to be viewed by all visitors to our website. The details of any copyright are displayed with each image.

The archive is structured into 'Albums', 'Collections' and 'Images'. This is to make it easier to navigate and/or find particular images without having to search through a large number of images.

Albums

An album is a general title covering specific subjects or events such as 'Didsbury festival 2006' or 'Points of Interest in Didsbury'.

Collections

Each album may contain one or more 'collections'. A collection is a way of grouping similar images within an album. For example, an album for historic buildings may have a number of collections associated with the same building. The name of each collection should descibe the images it contains.

Images

Each image will be displayed as part of a collection in a list. Placing your mouse pointer over the image will display a small text box with a description of the image. Only members of DCS who are registered on the website can view a full size version of any image by 'double clicking' on the image.
